As part of my college course, I am lucky enough to complete some live brief which contributes to both my experience but also allows me to enter into competitions such as these.
Harbour House
These are a few logo concepts designed for Harbour House, a company which helps young people more from childhood into adulthood. Harbour House reached out to us previously asking for a logo which represented their building, a warehouse, as well as the water to refer to it's location upon the cannel. These concepts you can see on my 'Course Competitions' page, however they provided feedback commenting that all logos appeared too industrial and didn't have a friendly and caring impression which is an important factor in their service.
Therefore, these are the new concepts I generated whilst thinking about their requirements. I used a blue colour scheme to link to the water location and used the symbol of a hand too suggest their support and care for children. Although, I have still used links to their company name and building by using a house icon within the hand.
Search Laboratory
These are a few logo concepts designed for Search Laboratory. They are an International SEO and Digital Marketing Agency who work with Content Marketing, Social Media & Programmatic. The brief was very vague and allowed me to have a lot of freedom on what I could design however I wanted to creating something which represented them as a company. Although their name includes 'Search', we were told to avoid using microfine glasses within our concepts.
Instead, I focused on how I could create a simple, clean icon which can be easily rememberable and recognisable therefore I created concepts which combines their two initials S and L.
